Comparison
Looplift vs. Visually
Visually is the accessible end of this category: 4.7★ over 120 reviews, live since June 2022, free on development stores and $15–$80/month by order volume on the plans we saw (App Store listing, 31 July 2026). It bundles an AI-powered visual editor with personalization, recommendations, upsells and post-purchase offers — a broad CRO toolbox rather than a testing-only tool.
A visual editor solves the building problem: you can make a variant without a developer. It does not solve the deciding problem, and it does not solve the calling problem. Looplift is aimed at exactly those two, and is deliberately narrower everywhere else — we do not do personalization or upsells at all.
| Visually | Looplift | |
|---|---|---|
| Making a variant | You build it yourself in an AI-assisted visual editor. Fast, no code, and you see it as you go. | The variant arrives already written against your real page content, with the reasoning attached. You review and edit it rather than starting from a blank page. |
| Deciding what to test | Yours to decide. The editor will build whatever you point it at. | The audit decides first and shows its evidence: three ranked proposals per run, each naming the problem it thinks is costing you sales. |
| Scope | A wide CRO suite: A/B tests plus personalization, product recommendations, upsells, cart and post-purchase offers. | Experimentation only. No personalization, no upsells, no recommendations — those are deliberately not our product. |
| Calling results | Standard test reporting in the dashboard. | Confidence intervals and a peeking-safe verdict, plus guardrail metrics that can stop a running test without a human. |
| Entry price | Free on development stores, then roughly $15–$80/month by order volume — the cheapest serious way into this category. | $99/month for one site after a free audit. We are more expensive at the entry point and do less. |
| Track record | 120 reviews over four years. | New, private beta, not yet listed on the Shopify App Store. |
When visually is the better choice
- You are a small store watching every subscription line. Visually's entry pricing is far below ours and it does more per dollar.
- You want personalization, upsells or post-purchase offers in the same tool — we do not offer any of them.
- You already know what you want to change and just need to build and ship it quickly. A visual editor is the right shape of tool for that job.
When Looplift is the better choice
- Your visual editor has been installed for months and the test list is still empty. That is the deciding problem, and a better editor does not fix it.
- You want each test to leave behind a recorded learning rather than a closed dashboard card.
- You want a hard guarantee about what the tool may touch: an allow-listed patch format, human approval per launch, and no theme writes.
Visually is the better value if you want a broad CRO toolbox and you bring the ideas. Looplift is worth more only if the ideas are the scarce thing — it costs more, does less, and concentrates all of it on knowing what to test and calling the result honestly. App Store facts as of 31 July 2026.
The cheapest way to decide
Run the free audit. In minutes you get three specific, evidence-backed experiment proposals for your own site — then judge the quality of the thinking for yourself. No card required, and nothing launches without your approval.
